Mr. Olson has overall responsibility for the day-to-day activities of EcoLogic Engine Testing Laboratories. His background in the engine and emission testing industry makes him well suited for this position.

He began his career in 1956 as an engineer for Chevron Research Corporation where he was in charge of Standard Oil’s Engine and Vehicle Testing Laboratories. Mr. Olson later became Operations Manager- Engine Test Cells, for Southwest Research Institute- Army Ordinance Facility and advanced to the position of Director at Scott Research Laboratories where he was responsible for establishing the early California emission control and test procedures for light duty vehicles. Mr. Olson went on to form Olson Laboratories, Inc, a public company headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan. Here he served as president of a company that became the largest independent vehicle emission testing facility in the United States.

Mr. Olson also established Olson-Horiba, Inc., which was a joint venture between Olson Laboratories and a major Japanese instrument manufacturer. This California-based company provided thousands of emission measurement systems for light duty vehicles throughout the United States and Ford Motor Company has been one of their major clients over the years. Mr. Olson holds dozens of patents for fuel composition, vehicle emission control systems and emission measurement systems.

Mr. Ogden brings 15 years of emissions experience to EcoLogic. He was previously employed for California Environmental Engineering where he became proficient in running S.H.E.D. tests and motorcycle emissions tests. Other duties included maintaining and calibrating test equipment and becoming knowledgeable with the Federal Code of Regulations. Mr. Ogden also worked for Hyundai Technical Center in Chino, California where he became a supervisor responsible for all testing activities, including C.A.R.S. compliance testing.

Nathan Imus - Manager, Chemistry Division

Mr. Imus has over three years of experience in laboratory management. Most notably is his expertise in analysis and method development for environmental applications. Some of these applications include analysis of aromatic hydrocarbons, polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbons, pesticides and polychlorinated biphenyls by means of gas chromatography and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. He also has a solid inorganic background from water testing for perchlorate by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry, common anions and metabolic acids by ion chromatography, and metals by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry.

Hired in early 2006, Mr. Imus was brought in to found the chemistry department at Olson-EcoLogic. The chemistry laboratory is an extremely beneficial addition to Olson-EcoLogic, as it takes gaseous emissions measurements to the next level with the ability to perform chemical analysis. It also adds the ability to perform chemical property tests on fuels.
